Iran Air introduces brand new Airbus wide-bodies to its fleet
Iran Air, the flag carrier of the Islamic Republic of Iran, have taken delivery of their first brand new wide-body aircraft in over two decades.
The deliveries of the first two of Iran Air A330-200s took place this February and March, in Toulouse, France.
Following the delivery of Iran Air's A321 in January, these deliveries are part of the 100 aircraft and first two of the 54 wide bodies which are due to be delivered in the coming years to Iran Air.
The two A330-200s are equipped with 238 seats in 2 classes inside a comfortable cabin including 32 Full-Flat Business Class (Homa Class) and 206 Economy Class seats. In addition, Iran Air's A330-200 cabin offers latest generation of In-Flight Entertainment.
Thanks to the efficiency and unmatched economics of the A330, this aircraft enables Iran Air to not only re-establish itself in the existing intercontinental routes but gain access to new markets around the world.
In addition to the 10 A330-200s ordered by Iran Air, Airbus is to deliver 28 of the next-generation A330-900s and 16 A350-1000s to this airline.
